We've all asked for 5 more mins, and you deserve those 5 more mins especially if you've gone out your way the night before during your Sleep Ritual. The catch is making sure 5 minutes doesn't turn to 10, 15, then 30 mins.
The Mindset
Truth be told, I believe the right mindset should be applied for the Morning Ritual to ramp you up. Whereas a Night Ritual winds your body down to relax your mind, a morning one mentally prepares you for the day's actions. That starts with not hitting the snooze button more than what's appropriate.
Why We Struggle Getting Up
Of course this is easier said than done. Most likely because
- Lack of Night Ritual (easily coachable)
- Stress and Anxiety
- Disconnection with your Goals
- Monotony
- Phone Addiction
- and more of course!

But the motivation of a good Morning Ritual is enough to excite you! Knowing that you're on a path towards you Goals through a powerful morning routine will make you a better you through Right Effort and Action. Just like the strategies for a better night's sleep, these are also simple to implement and can be done within the hour or sooner!
Here are 5 Morning Rituals for a Powerful Start
1. Drink some Water💧:
We are mostly water, down to the organs to the cellular level. Replenish the night's sleep with some water so you don't feel like a raisin and you make the rest of the Morning Ritual easier to implement
2. Make your Bed🛏️:
Pretty self explanatory and underrated as an adult. There's a reason parents encourage their child to make their bed, and it's no different as an adult. The tidiness helps you destress knowing you did something to declutter your space, and this small action leads to motivation for greater action ahead!
3. Start your Morning Hygiene:
Now that you feel replenished with the water, time for some self care. Wash your face, brush your teeth, put on some sunscreen and body lotion, take the morning shower, and whatever other form of self care you do to feel right all before breakfast
4. Soak in Some Sunlight☀️:
The Sun in the Source of Life on Earth. Where water is the Lifeline, the Sun is the Source. Our body's have adapted to this fact in a rather beautiful way that I'll go into depth at a later time. For now soak in some time in Dawnlight for benefits that range from Alertness to Hormonal Balancing.
5. Go out for a Walk🚶♂️:
Get the blood flowing by taking a few steps outside of your home, you can also
- Listen to an audiobook
- Enjoy some coffee
- Take your dog out for a walk
- Take some time out with loved ones

Right Effort is going to make your mornings shine when you apply habits to enforce them. Small actions pile up in a positive way, and this path is powerful for the rest of the day. You don't need to do anything crazy like dunking your head in a bowl of ice water, just actions that everyone could apply for life. Start small, stay consistent, and wash your routine flourish.
